About Us

In 2024 the TPPC established a new policy workgroup.

Membership: Open to TPPC members who are interested in sharing their perspectives on policy proposals and updates related to pesticides and tribal sovereignty through comment letters.

Purpose: To facilitate a collaborative space where TPPC members are able to exchange information, thoughts, and goals related to proposed policies and updates to policies related to pesticides that may impact tribes and tribal sovereignty. Comment letters may encompass opposing views, as the views of tribes are varied. These comments are submitted on the behalf of the TPPC and are not meant to represent the views of all tribal nations and/or tribal organizations.

Format: Monthly conference calls on the third Tuesday of each month, 11-12AM Mountain Time.

Organization: The group is lead by the TPPC Program Coordinator.

Activities: Facilitation of the development of comment letters and Tribal involvement in the consultation process.
