Pesticides pose unique risks to Tribal communities. The Risk Assessment Workgroup facilitates dialogue with EPA regarding pesticide exposures with the goal of including these perspectives in pesticide risk assessments.

About Us
In 2021 the TPPC established a new risk assessment workgroup.
Membership: Open to TPPC members who are interested in potential risks related to pesticides and the intersection of pesticide use and exposures through tribal lifeways and cultural practices.
Purpose: To serve as a platform for members to learn about risks of pesticides, share about exposure related concerns in their communities, and provide tribal pesticide data to be considered in EPA risk assessments.
Format: Monthly conference calls on the third Monday of each month, 11AM-12PM Eastern Time.
Organization: The group has two co-leads.
Activities: Facilitation of dialogue with EPA regarding pesticide risk assessment and a tribal pilot program on pesticide risk assessment.
